Bierman Family Favorites

Like last year, I am doing a list of our favorite things from 2013. In no particular order, I give you our favorite memories of 2013:

In May, Josh and I celebrated our FIRST anniversary with a romantic Atlanta weekend. We ate chocolate covered strawberries, cheesecake and our top layer of wedding cake and treated ourselves to a couple’s massage. Sounds like a tradition in the making if you ask me!

Other 2013 favorites include getting Miller out of the terrible puppy phase and bringing Sam into our home. These pups can get a little rowdy, but we wouldn’t trade them for the world.

4Without a doubt, becoming homeowners is a highlight of this year. We love our home and updating it. It has been so fun to watch it transform into OURS.

ImageThis year was also filled with new places. First up, Hilton Head Island. We loved our near week of vacation here!

This fall, we also went to Asheville, NC. Go ahead and solidify this place as “my place.” You know the place that no matter how many times you go, you can always go back? Yea, Asheville is my place.

Additionally, I traveled to Oklahoma City this summer for the Women’s Softball College World Series. This is a trip my mom and I have dreamed of doing for what seems like forever, and we FINALLY did it. An added bonus was that I got to meet Josh’s grandparents for the first time in person.

At the end of our Asheville trip, we tagged on a weekend in Helen, GA with friends at their mountain house. This was the perfect ending to a perfect trip as we celebrated Oktoberfest downtown, went trout fishing, stuffed our bocas with s’mores, and enjoyed the company of sweet friends.

ImageA new job that occasionally brings me to Panama City where I get to have this view? That is what you call two favorites wrapped into one!

ImageThank you, Seattle, for slipping in just in time to make our 2013 favorites!

ImageBest friend. Peanut Festival. Homemade corn dogs. Roasted corn. Fried Oreos. This should be self-explanatory, friends.

ImageThis August, JRB competed in his second triathlon and finished second his division. So proud of his hard work!

ImageHaving our first trick or treaters and two pups to greet (or scare) them- a sugary sweet and hilarious favorite.

ImageLast, but certainly not least, we loved hosting our families this Christmas (and having a good reason to explore the World of Coca Cola).

Happy New Year, friends! Do you have any superstitions for the New Year? We rub silver dollars at midnight, bring in the New Year with no dirty laundry, and eat blackeyed peas and greens.
